Anyone hate the front emblem?
I remember how good the 1990 300ZX looked when they released the car without the front emblem. They put it back for 1991, and I don't think the car looked as mean.
I truly HATE it. I had mine painted black to match my Z and now am thinking of replacing it. Maybe with a Veilside one or the Z emblem from courtesy parts. Will the Veilside emblem cover the holes?

I electroplated my emblems so it kinda blends in more with the car. i don't think i "hate" the front emblems, but it'd definitely look better without it.

what would you guys think of the front "Z" style emblem done in real carbon fiber in the same style as this one:

i didnt hate it, but it looked plain. i purchased a set of the black carbon fiber emblem inserts from SuiteEgrafX and i think that it looks really good now. subtle but classy. performance nissan will be carrying that product line starting next week. that huge "z" from courtesy nissan seems a bit too much. too many z's on the car as it is... imho of course.
The emblem makes the car look like it has a "face" by representing a nose (grille is mouth, lights are eyes). This makes it substantially less aggressive by adding a "cuteness" factor (albeit VERY minimal), at least in my books.

The first step to a good looking car is to remember that cars are not people and each part and its location is there for a functional purpose. The grill, the lights, etc. They are in the best location they can be in to be the most effective at their job. Humans tend to personify everything including cars, pets, etc. If you can step away from the idea that the front of a car is a human face you will see that a debadged car is the best. It is smooth, stealth, and nice looking. There are no breaks in the flow of the car. There are no names, symbols, etc. Badges are like billboards in the middle of the country side, interfering with the intended beauty of the original design. My Z will be debadged and the handles will be shaved.
