Default Winter Storage (Battery Maintainer?)

I hope this is the right forum for this:

I am storing my Z in my garage over the winter and I do not want to remove the battery due to me pulling the car in and out when working and cleaning the wife's car.

I have heard about battery maintainers. I checked at the local Pep Boys and they have one for $69.99. It is called a Battery Tender Plus. It maintains a charge without damaging the battery. It says it switches automatically from charge to float. It also stated it does not damage the battery like trickle chargers do.

Anyone know about these, do they work?, are they worth $69?

Is this the right thing I need to maintain my battery?

Thanks for any replies. If I could get some replies by tomorrow that would be great. Pep Boys is the only one in town that has one and they only have 1, and they are holding it for me to pick up tomorrow?

Thanks.

Also, I do not want to start the car every week, so I guess I have 2 options, take the battery out or get a battery maintainer.

I used one when I stored my Miata last winter, worked great. There are other things to do like add extra air to your tires, oil change, fuel stabilizer.

I found the link, I had asked about this before, I am getting Alzheimers here, LOL.

Anyway, I wonder if it is okay to use fuel stabalizers in the Z. I heard you can't put additives in the fuel? Fact/Fiction?

Using stabilizer is your call.I used it with no problem but the car was a 1.8 liter which may or may not make a difference.
