VDC/TRAC/GAS switches
so first time fillin up my car with gas after buying it, pressed the button to open the gas tank, no response.
so i just figured the connection had gone bad and ignored it. (yes having to break into my gas tank to fill her up). then the other day i took a quick look at the back of the switch and OH! it is connected to nothing! along with the VDC annnnnd traction control switch. why on earth would anyone disconnect all these switches??
any ideas?

If the previous owner had work done around a disassembled dash, those switches would be disconnected to allow access. The question is, what work was done and why?
