Right, so I came across a set of cf under wings for sale locally. I don't know if they are authentic VS but the guy said they were. Should there be a stamp of some sort on these things? Anyway, they're 200.00 with the typical scratches one would expect from such things.

Now my question has to do with mounting them. I've read numerous times that they simply attach in the stock bolt locations however I placed one under the side skirt where it is supposed to go and once it was lined up it appeared to have a significant drop below the mounting point of the side skirt. How much clearance is sacrificed with these things? I was surprised to say the least and I altered how I was holding it to the side skirt a few ways but it always seemed to be lower than I would have guessed. Am I doing something wrong here?

 

mine are supposedly authentic veilside, and no, i have no stamps. They just fit perfectly. Unless you take out the screws, and place the under wing under the rubber part under the stock side skirts, it is impossible to line them up without installing. Take out the stock screws, and slip the under wing under the rubber part and it should fit pretty well.
