Default Headlights help!!

Ok so I got my bixenons and got one of em damaged by a rock that a truck threw on the highway, now there's a bunch of water getting in there, it's a small chip but it bugs me and seems like it'll keep getting water in there, my question is, is there any way to replace just the cover? Or do the covers from the 03-05 headlights fit on these? Any help is appreciated, thanks

I sold my 06+ headlights a while back to a buddy , only the covers were damaged. He was able to replace them with his 03 - 05 lense covers.

I assume that the car is insured? Get a new headlight.

I got a $500 deductible, so basically they'll give me $100 and call it a day, if that, I got an 03 so idk if they'll replace the bi-xenons

The headlight assembly and lens are one piece. I would feel more confident replacing the entire assembly with OEM.

Insurance usually replaces direct oem only, not what you request. The 03 lights are significantly cheaper than the 06 anyways so that would certainly throw them off.

I think your best solution is getting just an entire headlight on your own.

You can get a spare light for cheaper than 500$ so you would be losing money using your coverage. Which side is it ?

I still have my stock 06 lights for sale, i would prefer to sell them as a pair but may consider one side if someone else wants the other. I would looking in the range for 400$ per side.

The other option is getting the 03 lenses and swapping just the lens. You just have to replace the damaged one, the lens is identical so there is no point. I believe the only difference is the small letters engraved in the lens that list the bulb type (the 03 will say D2R H7 instead of D2S)

If you are doing the swap yourself, be sure to add nissan butyl sealer to the lamp seam to avoid any condensation later on. I can look up the part number for your if you are going that route. PM me.

Cheers
