Default AEM Gauge placement.

Done some searching and found the DEFI gauges can be fitted into gauge pod on the dash. My Q is has any fitted AEM gauges into existing pods? Do they fit in? Looking at fitting a wide band and oil temp.
Thanks.

I put my AEM wideband where the factory Voltage gauge was. I don't have any pics here, but I'll check if I have any when I get home.

You can put it where the voltage gauge is, but the little LCD screen and Oil Pressure gauge share one circuit board. So, you'll have to get rid of both, or none...

Thanks for that, pics would be great. My worry is the depth of the AEM housing V the shape of the factory gauge pods and my preference for AEM. Going for oil temp and wideband but also trying to keep multi gauge. I'v read it somewhere it has been done.

I'm sure with a bit of work you could keep the multi gauge, but it would either involve cutting the circuit board in half to make room in the center spot for the AEM gauge, or de-soldering the LCD screen from the circuit board and extending wires for it so you could move the circuit board out of the way.

I don't have a pic of it installed on my computer unfortunately. I'll run out to the garage and snap one in a little bit.

Sorry for the crappy pics, I don't have good lighting in the garage, and I can't find my real digital camera

As for mounting it, it's mounted in from behind, and not the normal from the front style.... It does fit from the front, but then the angle on it sucks iirc... I seem to remember using some metal back strapping..... That's about all I can remember.

I will be adding a couple more AEM gauges by spring. Probably Boost, Oil Pressure... Maybe oil temp and fuel pressure as well.... I would like to keep the multi gauge as well, so I haven't quite decided what I want to do yet. I just know that I don't really want to do an A-Pillar Pod..

Hey been away , cant help with depths as i went with a zeitronix unit. Some guys have installed Defi gauges in the pods, maybe you find the depth specs somewhere on line.
