So I got mine in. This is what i have done so far. I have not clear coated these.

I'm very happy with the finish. It took me a while to do, about 3 hours all together. I have no vinyl experience though, so i was learning along the way. I also only have a hairdryer and not a heat gun.

It looks much better in person. The flash from the camera made it look less black than it actually is. To give you an idea, my interior is black but looks grey from these pictures.

Looks pretty good man. I also have to do my passenger side switch panel. I would have had it done but my girlfriend had mistaken the tube that the vinyl was in for a recyclable. Almost killed her! At least she payed for another sheet.

Looks Good!! I wrapped my roof myself, as well as my radio surround and shifter surround. I also did my laptop \

I've got a roll sitting here so I'll end up doing more interior stuff over the winter.

Thinking about doing some exterior stuff too. What size sheet did you use for the roof?

I also want to do my roof and possibly hood, just to protect it if anything. My neighbor strongly suggested i didn't though. He said that if the vinyl is on there a while and you want to take it off, when taken off, the paint can have started to bubbling while the vinyl was on. I forgot what he called it, and I'm not sure how it works either. But he said after a while bubbles (idk if from the paint, clear coat, or something under all that) will come up and pop open. I'm guessing it leaves little craters in the paint / clear coat or something.

I'm not sure if this is the case with this 3M stuff. Has anyone had this on their car for a while (like over a year) and then taken it off? If so I'm curious to hear about how the finish, on whatever was under the di noc, was affected.

IIRC it was about 36" long by 50" wide or so.... The roll is only 48" wide, and it wasn't wide enough to reach to each top corner by the windshield. I had to turn the roll 90 degrees so it went side to side instead of front to back. That gave me the width I needed.

I like. Might have to incorporate some of this in my interior setup!
