A liitle 3m Di-Noc
I ordered some 3m Di-Noc off ebay to do some experimenting with some interior parts that are getting scratched up. This stuff takes some patience, an exacto knife, hair dryer or heat gun, and a squeegee. I also clear coated these parts after seeing it done on youtube.
Sorry if the pics are not the best quality

It is a vinyl overlay with a carbon fiber-like weave printed on it.

What exactly is the method for removing those door pull pieces? Mine have some small scratches in the coating and it's driving me nuts.

Good job, not my cup of tea but it looks like it will hold up.
When my window switch was scratched up I just replaced it for $40 through courtesy parts

Very simple bro.....Pull out the vinyl covered door armrest first. Pull from the back with force, it will just pop out. Then pull on the switch panel with force and it will also just pop out.

Thanks Waizzz. I like this stuff. I might be getting addicted..lol. I have moved on to Di-Noc my desktop mouse and looking for more **** to wrap.
If the stuff does not hold up I will just pull it off and paint the parts.

Good plan, update the thread in a few months to let us know how it's holding up.

it seems like adding clear to it kind of blurs it up a little bit

Yeah. It took some of the detail out of the weave.

Is it necessary to add the clear coat for durability? Or just appearance?
