Default direct Magnetic / Super Black comparsion

Soon i'll be buying a silver 2003 350z and I definetly want to repaint it black. However, i can't decide between magnetic and super black. I've been looking around the forum and found out that magnetic black has metallic flakes whilte super black is just plain black. But i can't find any equal comparison of the two , with pictures that were shot in similar conditions. Any help?

If it your first car i would go with something like a 240 and save up for a better Z.

I see no point in saving for a black one when i could paint it black or much less. And I wouldnt say that its not a "good" Z, it's in great shape, 45k miles, and under 10k for a 2003 isn't out of the ordinary. The reason I'm repainting is because of a few scratches/dings where the paint has worn away that I noticed when i drove down to check it out the other day. Why was the grill painted silver? Was it wrecked and repaired? And I don't see changing the color of the car being cheaper than buying a black one already. Unless you don't plan on having the engine bay painted black to match the rest of the car.

yes its a rebuilt title. I'd have to pay for paint and to repair the seats. Maybe I should spend a few more 1,000 dollars to buy one thats black and in better condition. Is it necessary to paint the engine bay ? Also, how much would a good paint job cost?

Save your money and keep looking. For a decent paint job you are looking to spend 6k min.

There's plenty of Z's out there, check out your regional forums and see what people are selling.

Paint can get expensive. With engine bay and door jambs expect to pay $5,000 plus. Lots of man-hours here.

The car will look half-a$$ed if you don't paint the engine bay and door jambs. Plus, with it being a rebuilt title and the interior looking kind of beat. I would say 8.5k isn't such a great deal. But not a horrible price either. Surely, you can find a clean black Z for around 10-12k if you keep looking.

i've found a few more between 12-13k that look alot cleaner, but i can't make any decisions until I look at them in person next weekend. I suppose it would be a wise choice to save a bit of money, wait a little longer, and get a good Z
