It really depends on the wing that you plan on using. Some of the heavier wings or some of the ones that are track functional and create a decent amount of downforce will require additional bracing on the hatch.

then you will need to add an aluminum brace on the underside of the hatch to secure the spoiler too - it will be the case with any aftermarket hatch you do

exacly. + that seibons reputation about quality isnt so good, and from what i can understand their CF parts just isnt so lightweight.

you will need to do it to any hatch that is not OEM - none of them have anywhere near the stability to support a large wing and the downforce it should produce

as for a DIY, self explanatory really....a nice piece of aluminum on the underside of the hatch, I'd make it at least a 1/4 inch thick, drilll holes through the hatch and mounth the wing supports to the aluminum.

so i need one big plate under the hatch?? Not just 2 braces/ bars that goes from foot to foot?

Well.. that kind of makes a dry carbon hatch no good.. if you think of the weight.

but with a big plate like that, the wing wont flex or so?

isnt here anybody that have done this that have pics of it?

a sheet of aluminum hardly weighs anything - I suppose you could do it under the mounting feet too
