Default Waterproof Car Cover...

The Z now sits in a car port, so when it rains, it ends up getting wet. I own the regular OEM car cover, but need something waterproof and safe for the car at the same time. Any suggestions fellas?

I found this site today. The "Elite" cover looks to fit the bill, but I'm still not sure. I want to go over my options:

What I need is a good water repellent cover that will not hold in moisture. I do not want humidity and water paint damage. I also want one that is durable against tearing. Those 3 characteristics are my highest priorities...

"Waterproof" is a bit deceptive. You do not want waterproof. Moisture builds under the cover with no way to escape. You are better with a "permeable" cover.

BTW are you washing and treating your cover?

I was looking at some good car covers too... Freakin socal been raining all holidays and I'm sick of it. Hopefully though this is the last time it rains... and by looking at the window seems like mr sun is out...

Just by googling around... this car cover looks promising.

I agree David. I'm hoping to find a cover that "breathes well" also. I was hoping someone here has had a good experience with a waterproof/breathable cover.

I've washed it once. If I have the OEM cover, would you suggest treating it with some type of scotch guard? Would this make it an effective water resilient cover that breathes also?

I was hoping spend around $100, give or take a few bucks...

Covercraft Noah works wonders. If you have the money, buy a Weathershield HD to put on top of the Noah. Do not use only the Weathershield HD alone as the stitching will scratch your paint. See my reply in another thread in this forum section for details.
