you could just modify it and than try to find someone who can wrap it in carbon fiber for you.

Just an opinion, too much CF for me. Sorry to offend. And it's spelled "Rolex"

You are correct, the HR cover will not work on the DE engine. It has a different bolt pattern. I have an HR and when I got my cover in I had to return it because it was for a DE and it wouldn't bolt up. besides the DE
cover is one piece and the HR is two pieces.

So if the HR cover is a no go, how about the g35 engine cover? Anyone know if it will fit?

What about a DE CF engine cover and a wrinkle red plenum like the GT SPEC bars? I wonder if that will look good or no? Maybe the strut bar should be done in wrinkle red with black bases too to match?

I think the red plenum would look a little out of place in your engine bay. I'd say keep it mostly black. You can add a few small red accents, but not something big like the plenum.

I think your right too. Oh and the underside of my hood is painted semigloss (hotrod) black. I forgot to mention this earlier if it helps with ideas of how to spice up my engine bay lol

Take it off and get the Ti wiring loom cover, Has a different look that everyone else doesn't have.

BTW, your car, other than the front fenders and ducts on the chargespeed bumper looks great ( sorry, really don't like those outer bumper ducts, and something about the fender just doesn't do it for me) Other than that, great work. Looks so much better with the painted CF with accents than what most people do with CF parts.

Thanks for the input guys. I really am liking the painted plenum now that I see it. The only thing that throws me off is that the plenum has a rough texture, and if it was painted over all the texture would show through. If it was all grinded down to be smooth it would probably be really nice when painted. Everything that is black on my car is the same tone of black, its like a semi-gloss/slightly matte black. They call it hotrod black at $150 a quart. I'd have to see if my paint guy has any of it left.

I was approached by a guy from discount tire about doing a "new type" of coating called Color Chroming, he said he is only one of the few guys on the west coast that do it. Basically he can "chrome plate" any plastic/metal part that I'd like in whatever color I would like. He said if I give him a paint code to a color I liked, that it could be done in a chrome coating. Its basically like painting, but the color comes out chrome. Heres an example of what it could look like.

I am a little skeptical still because it gets HOT in Arizona, and he wasn't able to give me any feedback of how it holds up in extreme heat. I think it would be cool if everything could be black chrome/red chrome plated in the engine bay.

So I wasn't able to get an answer from anyone whether or not the G35 full cover fits or not, so I ended up just getting the OEM size CF cover. Heres a couple pics. What to do next?!

I have some OEM AX6 paint(same red as my exterior), but I wonder if it would look ghetto to paint the stock strut bar lol?

I have wrinkle red GT SPEC bars, it will match it nicely. Someone PM'd me about a CF bar he was selling, it was dry carbon tho. It was goin for like $260 I believe. Does anyone know of another CF bar out there?

My favorite strut bar for the Z is the JIC carbon fiber bar. I think it would match your engine bay very nicely
