Default carbon door panels.. need install tips

Yo..
picked up a set of simple mold press carbon fiber door panels to go along with my " keep all the shiny stuff inside" theme.

I had a set of Seibons ( currently for sale in classifieds btw) and now a set form frpbodykits.com

These appear to be within spec and should fit without modification on trimming per say...

problem is that there are no tabs behind the panels to mount the fasteners.

I can imagine glassing in a few pieces of backstrap and getting a few panels fastners in the holes would do the trick, but I wanted to post this in the rare case that someone has done something similar and has a shortcut or a "this worked better for me" tip before I go getting more involved in this than need be.

they werent the same exact shape as the OEM in terms of contours, and then i cant use my door speaker pods... i got alot of cash wrapped up in sound.. figured these would be easier to install.. haha. seems like its always something.

Would have been easier to just have the OEMs wrapped.

light bulb !.

No panel pops.. industrial velcro.

SOunds stupid, but in fact, its pretty hardcore stuff and will stop any panel rattling dead in its tracks too.. and I only need a few pieces when done properly.....sweet.. DONE. next thread, haha.

YES!!! Please take pics of the install. I'm hoping to start doing my interior at the end of the year and this would be very helpful.

wouldnt velcro push the panels out, thus causing more damage and wear as doors open and close?

i would say double sided tape....

these things, as they all seem to..... dont fit for sh#t.. super lame.
Ive bought 2 sets of carbon panels now... none are even close. Major mods necessary.. Ill be PMing Han and Pete at Intense tomorrow to see if I drop them off for 6 months and leave em.. if they can "project back burner" them and make them fit on one of thier cars.. Ill pay n pick up later haha. .

Im over it. Buyers beware.

Default deals

not much to be h9onest..
the seibon i won for one dollar on ebay, 150 to ship ( someone foreclosed a stoarage unit and these were in it)

the last panels were from frpbodykits.com.. 225 and 150 to ship. So i still ahve alot of cash wrapped up in them.

Its not so bad.. i jjust really wanted them to be doable myself, and it aint happening.

But Im sure someone can et them to fit. You just gotta pay the piper.

Seriously tho, if they still ahve this Z sitting in ther shop..Im gna drop them off and see what they can do.. either way, Ill still have one set for sale ( cheap, just to recoup cost.
