Default Nismo Bodykit or not?

Hey guys, I'm an '06 Base owner looking to improve my Zs looks. I always loved the 07-08 Nismos but they're out of my price range.

I've been thinking of upgrading the exterior to Nismo-specs. Purchasing a kit like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...t_11148wt_1068

I by no means will intend on putting "Nismo" badges on it and it's purely out for looks ( I just love the way the Nismo looks ), also would consider buying an 07-08 HR hood to complete the look.

Also, the car is not going to be stock as I'm in the process of boosting it... Please post opinions, testing the waters on feed back.

Here's my car as it sits:

That ebay listing is weird, I don't trust that they can get the actual full kit for that low a price. LOL that they use the pics of the actual Nismo Z.

Search OP it's been done in bits and pieces, although no one has done the actual full Nismo version 3 kit that I know of.

I'm not a fan of the v3 nismo style buttttttt...... if you like it, I say go for it.

I, however, would stay far far far away from ebay kits. Seriously, chances are you will pay much more having the kit fit properly due to poor fitment. I've never heard of "AIT" but the fact that they show pictures of a real nismo on the page rather than their own product speaks volumes.

Just my .02

edit: damn, waizz beat me to it. Great minds think alike

I like the nismo kits myself. Yea it may not be a genuine nismo but it still will look as slick as one. Dont go cheap on the kits though spend a little more it will last longer. Justr my two cents!

Thanks, I know better than to buy a kit from Ebay like that hence why I said "A kit like this".

I'll look around the web for the body parts needed, if not then I'll probably keep it as is. The only other option is to actually buy a Nismo, which at 20K+ seems a bit over my price range right now.

if you are going FI and working with a limited budget, your best bet is to allocate resources towards that, and making sure you have money left in reserve for inevitable issues

Money is not an issue, but I don't feel like buying a Nismo 350Z for 25K when I can get an 06 for 15 and use the rest to buy aftermarket parts to make it superior to the nismo. I love the body style of the Nismo, but the car itself to me makes no sense.

Don't do it unless you're going to do authentic.

OP, dont do it. I have the Nismo S-Tuned 350z and i think they look best the way the Zs look without the Nismo body kit. As for Crawling_Drunk ( Love you your online screen name btw lol ) I love your car. Looks clean. The nismo wing is way to rice, your car looks very clean without the wing. Im not a fan of bodykits whats so ever. But your car is clean none the less +1
