Do Luck front bumper fitment
Could any of you guys give me some advice as to how to put this bumper on? The stock one is so easy to put on and off, I am having a hard time just putting it on the car before the screws and everything. I can't get it to line up at all, might be the undertray and the bottom of the bumper. The person I bought it off from, had already test fit it and said fitment was around 8 out of 10, so I dont understand why im having such a hard time with it. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
although its a replica, it should go on pretty easy. I don't think he would lie about the fitment, as I picked it up and I know where his store is, also hes a really chill/nice guy. Btw, decided to call it a night and im putting my stock one back one as i type...
Sounds like an easy solution. You know where he is, nice guy, said it was 8/10. I would drive there and have him help with the fitment
Is this the one for sale on Craigslist in OC? The posting mentions this.....
"Do luck replica Nissan 350z bumper. Fitment is about an 8/10, could be modified easily to fit perfect"......
That says it all....plus I assume a 10/10 means perfect fitment which is never the case.

some kits are made for 03-06 others not...I havent researched it but I would assume do luck would fit for the earlier year Z's since it came out such a long time ago. Did he have the patients to wait 8-12 weeks for an authentic or is it replica, that will also make a HUGE difference.
I have an 07 with a do-luck replica on it and the fit was almost perfect. maybe you just have a bad fit bro...
*edit* when i installed mine i don't think i had to cut any of the underbelly spashguard but i don't really remember. i do remember that all i did was slide it on (kinda cocked forward) to line up those 2 bolt holes in the bottom, then rock it up and it popped into place. when i dry fit it i bolted the top first and rocked it down. it was more of a PITA but still doable...hit me up PM if you have any questions, i'll help out as best i can =)

^^Hmm, thanks subdermal. I will try to post pics of the bumper, and maybe you can tell me whether yours looked the same or not, cuz I also have two holes on the bumper for the bottom.
"usually" fitment of a replica isn't very good....take to a body shop and have them make it fit like oem...well if you got the cash...or do like i did on my real jp type N kit....and get the dremel out!!

^^Wow, fitment is almost perfect for you. Where did you get the front and rear bumpers, and how much, roughly if you don't mind me asking? And you still have all your undertray, wheel liner and everything on? You didn't need to take anything off the car for it to fit?

If i remember right i trimmed the front wheelwell splashguards to make them go in easier, and i think that was everything. i took that foam pad off of the front crash bar, but i'm pretty sure i coulda left it on and been fine.
^^+1. That is also what I had to do. I took off the foam pad, and the black intake pieces on the front behind where the stock bumper goes, and also took off the entire wheel liner. So I guess this is common with the do luck fronts. Thanks for the help!
