Anyone with brushed metal floor mats
i don't have 'em, but i heard that they scratch very easily and are extremely hard to keep clean. and i assume that they'd be pretty slippery when wet.
as for price, i've seen them on ebay a lot.

I had them and sold them. I like how they look but got a lot of flack from other members saying that they weren't really right for the Z.
That's not why I sold them though. They did scratch up easily but you don't see the scratches much unless you put your face right next to them.
My problem with them was they weren't very comfortable. Your feet would actually get sort of sore resting on them after a long drive. The soft OEM mats felt really good when I put them back in.
Also, when it's raining and your feet were wet, they would slip all over them and make a loud squeaking noise. You also had to wipe them down after rain/snow since whatever was on the bottom of your shoes ended up on the metal.
They would be cool for shows I would guess.

1 is from our member wadd3456, he makes custom ones with logos if requested.
the other is from vitek which i don't think anyone here has.
I have the brushed alum inserts on my mat from Ichibhan. They were very similar to the ones Momo has only mine cost $40 for both the driver and passenger sides. Msosr and I had been to a car show and bought it there. The insert has holes in it, and you put a rubber mat between the mat and the alum insert to have the rubber studs stick out. Prevents your foot from sliding around. Due to the curvature of the floor, I had to put 2 CD's under each rubber stud insert to make all the studs stick out of their holes evenly. It looks very noce, and I have beencomplimented a lot. And it hides the worn areas of the original mat.

Thanks all for reply, Shagz any pictures of the type you refer to, do they look like the brush metal used on the pedals with holes. Or where to find on the net? The other type reminds me of a tool box they put in the back of trucks, not very apealing, I can see how this type would cause a problem when wet. I'm hoping there's one on the market that is smooth metal like my pedals with holes which allow you to use your exising mats underneath to resolve the slip problem.

I chose the black. Msosr chose the blue. I will be detailing the car tomorrow morning and will take a few pics and post it.
