Did you remember to install the little rubber things from the oem hood onto the carbon fiber hood?

That big of a gap woudl still be an issue.
You shouldnt need to adjust anything up front. If you took off the strut bar and you are still having issues you need to adjust at the hinges.

Whenever I installed my oem hood back on, I had to replace the two rubber fittings under the hood. ( they were worn) there is one on each side of the hood, where the hood meets the front bumper. They screw in place with slight force. They help the hood stay closed.

Its dark or I would go outside and take a picture. If you notice on your cf hood there are two holes, place them in there.

I have seibon hood too. my car is an 04, fitment is wack because it hits the strut bar. i havnt installed my plenum spacer yet because i need an 07-08 hood to clear the extra height. i just push down on the front of the hood until it locks in and closes. I could feel it bending but its the only way to close it.

Whats the difference between the strut bars throughout the years? I have the exact same hood on my 07 and it fits perfectly. Simply plug and play.

Forgot to mention that I did have to move some of the rubber dampers that were attached to the oem hood around on the cf hood. Still fits snug though.

Yes, I told the vendor I had an 07, not quite sure how you would be able to tell. Why wouldnt all the hoods fit between 03 to 08? Maybe we should ask this question to the op..

From what I hear, the 03~06 oem hood won't fit in a hr model. Never confirmed this myself. Even in seibon's website, the hoods are listed as a different part number. If you notice your oem hood has a hump in them middle.

Yea I was just assuming at the time that it was just a different design that they were trying to pull off. That is interesting none the less, so furthermore, OP you should check with the people you bought it from to see if its the right model year accessory.

you sir are correct. that hump gives the extra clearance nesc. for the additional height on HR's
