Do you have an authentic Chargespeed bumper??
If you have an authentic Chargespeed rear bumper how is the fitment? I bought a rep chargespeed bumper from one of the vendors on the fourm and I took it in yesterday to get it painted and installed. Today the shop called me and said that they would not even try to make this piece of crap fit my car. I am waiting to hear from the vendor to see if they are going to take it back or not. I guess I am going have to spend the big bucks for an authentic Chargespeed bumper. For those of you with an authentic Chargespeed bumper, how was the fitment? Did the shop have any problems? I dont want to pay almost $1000 for a bumper and have to spend another $700-$900 just to get it to fit so it can get painted and installed. Thanks for your help, Randy

I have just fitted a full type 2 kit and the rear needed very little work.
Sides needed very little also and the front needed a bit more work but nothing to bad.
All in all it fits very well.

It was test fitted at the body shop. Thats why they refused to put it on my Z or even to try to make it fit. Still waiting to hear back from the vendor about this issue before I start slamming them.

If I can recall when you remove the factory rear bumper some modification needs to be done on the car itself, so that the bumper fits. There was a thread on this a few years ago. It was very minor work to get a good fit. I would check with a different body shop If I were you.

Do you mind me asking where you purchased from?
My CS bumper is on the way. I ordered it from Strafe, and I know it's made by VIS. Hopefully, you didn't get it from the same vendor.

I'm curious too...
I have an original Chargespeed, it fit perfect with little to no work. But it has since been damaged and I need to replace it. I was concidering trying a replica just to save some $$$ if it fit well. (buying the same thing twice is hard especially when it's big $$$ for a bumper) My one concern is, still have the CF diffuser from the original I would like to retain for the new piece and I know the odds of it fitting on the replica are slim to none...

Don't purchase a replica unless you plan on paying someone or plan on doing the prep work yourself. I ordered one off of ebay as I wanted to learn to work with fiberglass. It took me about a week to get it to fit properly, FYI.

i installed a replica chargspeed rear bumper for a customer a few months back ( he said he bought it from ebay) and the fitment wasnt that bad.
i had to do a bit of trimming and adding but nothing that i didnt expect from working with a fiber glass bumper.
all and all it came out good sides lined up good tail lights fit good only thing i was not able to fit 100% was where the hatch meets the middle of the bumper, the bumper sticks out a bit.
maybe your shop is not really good at working with fiberglass?
