i have the same bumper and mine fit pretty good(replica cs 2 rear) but that was just a test fit. I am glad you ordered a real chargespeed but as far as the replica, it is always a risk with the fitment and at the end of the day you get what you pay for. Sorry to hear op but if your gonna buy a hood might as well do it now cause your stuck with the bumper regardless ,sorry to be so blunt but you cant win them all(i am not trying to be a jerk at all)

You ordered a replica bumper. It needs some fixing up to be perfect. This is news.

Is it a replica from VIS? FYI- those tend to fit the same or better than the actual Chargespeed rear, which has a reputation for needing a bit of TLC to fit right.

my exact thoughts.

Looks juuuust like thier stuff, and looks juuust like the issues everyone has w thier crap. Thier "other vendor" VIS is total hit or miss. Total.

The warping comes from when they pull the item off the mold its stuck to.

ICKY.

I got my entire purchase price back thru my credit card company the last time i dealt w DTM. They offered me nothing, i compiled lots of documents, got a quote to repair from a local shop, sent it all in, and got my cash back.

But everyone up here is right.. if you buy replica, you had better pull it out and test fit it immediately.
Youre buying the CHEAPEST version of something, and expecting top quality service etc like this is Nordstroms.. that aint how it works man...

It sucks, but cmon, what did you pay for that bumper, a few hundred bucks? Maybe 350? Not a very expensive lesson to learn when it comes to the Z thats for sure.

I bet you searched and heard complaints about the kit beforehand but still talked yourself into it becuase of price.. well, this is what you get.

BUY AUTHENTIC.. the story is LITERALLY always the same.

Sounds like if it were me, Id take what theyd give me, chalk it up to a loss, and make a new game plan w real parts.

Not trying to be a d#ck, but this is just the honest truth about body kits and your car my man.

I bought a knock off Veilside kit from them/VIS ( Im still only assuming this is a DTM thread haha) for a grand and it was worthless, i actually threw it away.
My authentic kit was dramatically reduced for me by Intense Motorsports and only ended up costing me 2000 plus installation for completely authentic parts. Youd be surprised what your local people can do in the way of hook ups.

I purchased this exact chargespeed replica and it went fine. I dunno. Maybe this is a one-off, but not all replicas, even from the same vendor, have the same build quality. I was very happy with the quality and fitment of mine.
