Exclamation Push Button Start - feedback

**Looking to push button start my 03 Z.

Feedback from those of you who have done it would be great

-Pics?

Is this the best system (below)?

You still have to put the key in and turn it, just turn it the extra 20 degrees to start the car. No need for a rice mod.

if you can make it a remote, where you get into the car with the keys in your pocket, hold down the brake, and press the button and car starts.. then sure

if not... no

seriously, not sure why some people are so fascinated by this. my g37 has push button, its not that special...

I don't get it, either. I've owned mid-'60's Jaguar XKE's, and the starter push-button is just not a big deal. It's actually quicker and more convenient to just turn the key.

If you are going to stick your damn key in the hole anyways, do yourself a favor and turn little bit more, and save money.
G35 coupe is nice. You can start the car as long as you have the remote.

I was not referring to a unit where keys are still required, and agree the is very stupid.

I was more referring to the st800 Smart system that i see ads for all over this site. No keys at all. Start , lock, unlock etc .etc.

I live in NYC and the Valets are always losing my keys, leaving them in the car in the garage etc, it's quite annoying.

I like implementing the new technologies into my car.

The valet is still going to need your keys and/or remote control, or else the start button won't work. That's what prevents anyone from just taking your car. The more advanced systems still have that requirement, although you don't have to physically put the key in the lock cylinder. Imagine trying to troubleshoot a fault with all that extra wiring. No thanks.

i am very interested in this too. i heard about this system a long time ago but decided not to get it. now i really want it. i dont know if the guy still selling it at group buy...

its a cool device if its truly key free, as in key in pocket. my m35 has this and its pretty sweet, might do it to the z

that is not cool!!!! i just bought the system from the guy like 2 weeks ago. he post it on craigslist in LA and i got it for 420$. at the time the system was 450 each. I wish u told me this earlier. !!!! SAD!!! and i bought two from him too...

I actually did tell you that the system was getting ready to go on sale very soon and to keep an eye on it. You should have waited and purchased from us, either way the ST800 is a great system and you will not be disappointed in it at all.
