Don't use LED's from oznium.com
Some of you may have seen my post about a year ago showing LED strips installed in my '08 Z clear corner reflectors. For those who haven't, here are a few pics taken shortly after the install:
Pretty nice, right? Well, after several months 3 LED's failed in the passenger side reflector, and I almost never drive the Z at night. I sent an email to oznium.com, vendor of the LED strips, asking about this problem, and I received no reply. I sent another email in mid-December, and still nothing. Great products, and customer service, not.
Here we are a year later, and more LED's have failed, on both sides of the car:
Live and learn, and while the LED's strips seemed a bargain at only $12 each, obviously I got what I paid for. I guess I'll have to crack the reflectors open again, and this time I'll use discrete LED's on a circuit board, similar to the reflectors sold by FliPPER_Z. I don't think I'll approach his level of craftsmanship my first try, but I'd rather build these myself and will enjoy the task. For those not so handy, the reflectors from Flipper_Z are the best, and he's got many different custom configurations available.
PS. A few months back I got a PM from a member here, who had followed my instructions for building these reflectors, and almost right away he had a similar failure with his Oznium LED's. I've been meaning to post this thread for a while, but it slipped my mind until I got a PM from another member tonight asking about the reflectors in my car.

I've personally been using oznium products for 4+ years, some of those still on the car today and working 100% (the ones that aren't on the car still work and just got removed...I grew out my early slightly ricer days ) like the day I bought them. Always fast shipping and great customer service. Couple months back I got a reply in 20 minutes about a question. Sucks you had a bad experience, but I've always had good luck with them. Just my $.02

That sucks to see. Good luck with the next project.
I bought the led strips from v-leds for my reflectors, hopefully they last a little longer.
I have these (8 leds per reflector).

Well, I'd say it's my own fault for buying the LED strips before reading the reviews. True that many reviewers commented on Oznium's fast service, but if you read the reviews for the LED strips I bought, many (if not most) reviews mention failed LED's after a short time. Maybe in some apps they're easy to swap out, but once they're sealed in the front reflectors it's a different story. Hopefully I'll be able to reuse my reflectors and rebuild them using some high-quality discrete LED's.
As an aside, all the original bulbs (except the HID's of course) in my Z and my wife's Acura TL-S have been replaced with LED's from superbrightleds.com, and I haven't had a single failure after ~ 2 years of use.
