Jumping the gun a bit.

He can type nissan 350z in a google search and a crap load of the exact same chit he posted will pop up...A little bit of research can save us from having to view a thread like this every three days.

 

Jumping the gun? Your kidding right? Again, if he doesn't know what the damn thing is called... what would he put(other than 350z) in google or our search here? That's like trying to find a specific Nike shoe and typing "Nike" in google search.. it makes absolutely no sense. The stupid questions would have been... "Who makes the best Nismo replica add on" or "Does anyone know where I can get this Nismo piece?".

Give the guy a break... common sense would tell you that if the guy has no idea what it is, he can't search for it and No googling 350z isn't going to help him either.

I also know a considerable amount about cars in general especially exterior add ons, I can't expect everyone to have that same knowledge. I have searched for things and never found them... so I just PM'd someone who I thought knew.

 

yes, nub questions asking for help is really annoying.. but how exactly are you supposed to search something based off a picture?

and to go on the marketplace-exterior to look for the item.. that's the dumbest thing i've ever heard. he's expected to click every thread with "rear" in the title until he comes across what he was looking for? so instead of asking the forum, which is supposed to consist of a community of helpful people who are willing to assist those in need of help, he is expected to spend 45 minutes clicking through 4 pages of for-sale threads to finally find an thread which matches his picture...really?

like i get it, noobs are frustrating, but this forum has seriously taken it too far. i've been on pretty active on several forums (8thgencivic, nasioc, s2ki, matrixowners) just to name a few, and i've never seen as much noobbashing as this one. i've also never seen so many threads where someone stated that they just got the car, looking for some info, and the next 10 replies are people going "GO ****ING USE THE SEARCH TOOL"

what's the point of a forum if i'm expected to search everything instead of having the community reply to me? I might as well spend 3 hours googling, and still have the same result..

seriously, if you see a noob post, and don't want to reply with a proper answer,then just STFU and leave it for the helpful people here rather than make every single newcomer feel like a noob, then leave and complain about how unfriendly my350 is


note* i haven't been bashed on for a stupid question yet, i'm just frustrated at seeing all these other members with semi-appropriate questions getting bashed and made fun of by over half the community
