Default Racing Harnesses / Harness Bars

Hey Guys

I am looking to do a racing harness setup, and was wondering if anyone could offer some advice. I plan on leaving the factory seats in place, and will use a harness bar if necessary. I am also looking to avoid drilling/welding. Does anyone have any pics of installed harnesses along with pics of the anchor points, regardless of having a harness bar or not? Thanks

you need, at a minimum, a harness bar, or preferably a roll bar/cage

need to establish why you are doing it (looks/show use, or track use), etc

This is going to be fro street use, since this is going on my daily driver. Since I have a habit of aggressive driving, I sometimes feel that the factory safety belt is not secure enough, and since I have leather seats, I get that "floating around" feeling, and this affects my steering decisions.

A harness isn't going to be any safer then the stock seat belt. Your best bet is to stop driving like a douche.

Fix your seating position, then put your safety belt on tight. Then take you and your Z & tuners to a HPDS.

I think the "aggressive driving" comment is what got the guys going... do you track? Or are you aggressively driving on the street? If you drive aggressively enough to sliding around on the street... your a fool and we'll see a "I wrecked my car" or "Goodbye" thread here in the near future.

Okay, maybe "aggressive driving" was the wrong wording...Here's an example...I hit a 90 degree turn going somewhat fast, lets say 25-30 mph...there seems to be a lot of "give" in the stock safety belt, and since I have leather seats (also stock), it feels like Im sliding across them at the start and in the middle of the turn.

^not smart and not safe. a racing harness will not help your aggressive driving habit.

C'mon man... why would be taking a turn at that speed on the street? I'm not going to tell you how to drive b/c kids your age know everything but man be careful, driving habits like you have should only be exhibited on a track not on the street.

Lol, I don't do it all the time, and I NEVER do it where there is traffic/pedestrians etc. I am mostly doing it to test the suspension in the car since I am also thinking about getting a coilover setup with sway bars, since I feel the steering could be a little more responsive.

haha alright then your my size. I know what you mean the leather seats are pretty slippery. You're getting bashed because people frown upon "aggressive" driving on public streets. You'd be better off just picking up a sparco seat or a bride seat. You probably only need one and most likely won't need the harness, unless you want it for looks
