Default front lip mounting help/advice

so i got a random no name front lip for a good price and the fitment is just ok. there are small gaps where the body curves under the side markers.
ive seen a lot of you guys with front lip/spoilers did they fit GOOD out of the box. what massaging was needed to make it fit? im using double sided adhesive tape and it works but poorly. what did you guys use? thanks.

Post pics of the lip... it's difficult to judge where you need work w/o seeing what gaps you have.

Definitely post pics as others have suggested. I've been fortunate enough to have use two very well-fitting lips so far so never had to do much fit-up work. However if it's a Veilside / Mine's style lip, typically there are two holes on the bottom on each end where you remove two screws from the OEM bumper and use them to capture the lip on each end. Then use 3m tape in a few places under the center portion of the lip to hold it to the bottom chin portion of the bumper.

True... but he may need a gasket to seal the lip to the kit, I know where he can get one.

well a hair dryer will just require more patience. But you should be able to find a heat gun.

Pics or reference where you bought it would help.

My old VeilSide CF lip fit perfect out of the box, but I have idea what you have.

Use these -

Free Search: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Acura...ht_5263wt_1026

They help closing the gaps of the lips. You see these on those S corolla. They make the parts look a lot cleaner IMO.

They don't provide the part number but it's #6 in the illustration... they come in gray and black. So go to a Toyota parts Dept and request that part.

+5 on pics.

Heat guns are easy to find. Find one online. A hair dryer doesn't have enough heat to do the job.

What error message are you recieving when attempting to add photo attachments?

ok so i fixed the gap issues with a universal 10' strip of door trim molding from pep boys. it works great! so now on to the mounting part. do you really just use adhesive tape(doesnt seem very strong) and a couple bolts in each wheel well. those of you with lip kits how did you mount it. did you bolt the middle down at all?

I used screws in the middle but if I could do it again, I wouldn't. It looks ugly since they stand out and now I have holes in my bumper
