JDM 350Z wrapped in Matt White Vinyl

nice work. personally I think it would look good with the pillars, roof and hatch done as well. and with a different spoiler.
not hating at all, the job is done well and the car looks great.

Wow, looks like it turned out really nicely! I'd be so curious to see this in person, to check out how the vinyl fits into all the little corners, how it behaves when washing, etc.
I could see wrapping my Z in white some day when the black paint is beyond repair.

If the pricing is better than this [$650]: http://www.stickercity.com/Car-Wraps/
I'm down to order a roll. I can do it myself, no problem there.

that looks great.. OP, how is the matte white in terms of upkeep?
Ive been told it yelows w pollution etc.. but i have the 3m black on mine.. i feel it cleans super easy.. far easier than id have thought. Its really quite slick ...
When i get bored, Im certainly thinking of going flat white on mine.
What brand did you use? at 350 bucks id say Oracal etc? Am i right?
FAN-TASTIC job btw.. its incredibly hard and tedious to try this yourself, i gave up immediately.

vinyl is very easy to care for. spray detailer is safe and works well, and it dusts easily as well.. its very plasticky and smooth, and is NOT like youd expect something rough like primer to behave.. its far from it... very cool. I think far better than even OEM flat paint jobs.. again, its slicker and far easier to care for.

Damn. At first I didn't know what to expect when clicking on this thread.
OP, from the looks of it, you did a damn good job.
+1million for the future write up!
For ~400 USD? I'm sure a LOT of users will be trying to get on this.

its truly quite difficult. Its tedious and very frustrating... maybe im just a hot head.. id be throwing things around my garage and would probably have kicked my pet at one point if i had kept going with it myself....haha.
but yeah, super nice, i dont see the common mistakes in your end product work , at least from the pics. Nice dude..
also thing to keep in mind everyone.. is that there IS cheaper film available out there, but its degree of removability is far less than a more expensive film.. so if you live somewhere hot and drive the car year round, you will be peeling this sticker off your car piece by tiny little piece if you ever want it off.... 3m stuff will give a cleaner removal longer than an oracal,
also, find out what the NAME of the vinyl you want is, color code etc.. and google for it...
my roll cost me 800 dolalrs shipped.. but its 3M CV3 top end vinyl, is a full 60 inches wide, and was FIFTY YARDS!!! enought for at LEAST two cars.
Stickercity isnt a rip off, they are just marking it up like anyone would.. but buy directly from a sign shop and you will save a friggin ton.
Hope that helps anyone who sees this car and wants to do thiers.. they also make a gunship flat gray... check out vivids website, theres a 3 series in gunship... its sick.
but.. OP!!!!!!! hows the white holding up in the Hong Kong dust tho my man? Im dyin to know.. i live in the desert too.

Thanks for the information bmccann101 and nice work d3vil. This would definitely be a nice way to protect the original paint as well. Can't imagine how long it might take to do the whole car in detail though.

sorry for the late reply
these wraps are extremely popular in China.. i drove over the boarder one day and found a nice local shop.. and settled with this vinyl.
i got 10meters x 1.52meters of 3M carbon fiber for around $62 USD too.. it was too cheap i couldnt resist. haha
matt white is definitely a lot harder to keep clean compared to matt black.
in terms of rain and mud etc, its really easy to clean
but for oil and etc, i had to use WD40.. but it wipes off easily with the wd40

OP, I have a few questions. Did you take off the fenders, doors and sideskirts to wrap them? Or did you those panels on while wrapping? And what about inside by the door jambs? Did you wrap the jambs too or just leave that painted? And would it be pretty hard to do something like this without much experience in wrapping stuff? Sorry for all the questions lol
I took off both my bumpers, my headlights, tail lights, gas cap, side skirts, A B pillar, and signal lights to do this...
i did the door just as is.. and after trimming, i opened the door and wrapped around it
and its not hard to do this without much experience... cause like i said.. this is my first experience.. haha it turned out well... all i did was watch loads of youtube vids...

Metrorestyling should have the matte white in stock and they have pretty good prices. That's where I got mine from.
