Red owners will verify that red paint pigment is susceptible to damage from (sun) ultra violet radiation. Its just a characteristic of red.

The roof is clear coat damage. No do it yourself fix here.

I think it is way to late to worry about it now...........but how long has it been since your Z was waxed? That definitely is clear coat damage and you probably need a respray. Any color paint is susceptible to damage if it isn't properly maintained.

The guy I bought it from was like 55 and I don't think he took all that great a care of it. There are some interior defects that come from lack of care, mainly on the driver side leather seat.

I generally wax my car every three months and used to get constants questions if my 03' Daytona Blue car was new. I'll probably have to get it repainted. So maybe I'll go 40th anniversary grey but who knows.

I have the same problem on my db z on the lid it will look like that for 4 months or so then it will break out like a Justin beiber single. I'm painting the whole car soon. I've been very close to giving up on my car and selling it and getting a 240sx as a project car but my heart really loves my car but I know what ever money I put into it will never comeback

If I have to paint it I will probably go with the 40th anniversary 370z grey. Very sexy!

Definitely agree with the new paint job. Hope your ready to fork over a good sum to get a quality paint job though.

Its a nice change to see someone with a paint issue actually post visuals...to many people are retarded and expect us to visualize it.

I have learned not to buy red cars due to this same problem (except for color mismatch).
