Default CARBON FIBER reflector lens overlay "gathering interest"

CARBON FIBER reflector lens cover *gather interest*

Hello everyone.

What do you guys think about a Carbon Fiber front bumper reflector lens covers? They will be real carbon fiber, laser cut into the shape of the lens. Clear-coated, similar to interior dash kits. Comes with 3M adhesive on the back for easy installation.

Unlike JDM markers or other custom markers, these require no removal of bumper, no removing stock piece, and no hassles. It is a 1-min self-installation mod that will complete the looks of the car.

These could also be made in SILVER fiberglass fibers, which looks identical to natural black carbon fibers except that it's a shiny silver.

These overlays will cover the reflector lens completely, and also be alittle wider to cover up the gap between the reflector lens and the bumper. Most of you have probably experienced that the gaps between the reflector lens and the bumper are not smooth. These will cover the gap nicely, and still be flush with the bumper..

Just gathering interest for now. I cannot sell them unless I'm a sponsor on this forum. The photos are prototype pieces, but they're ready to be put into production immediately. If there are enough interests, I will gladly become a sponsor, and start to sell these to you guys.

If these are to be put into production, then I would probably need to take a small amount of deposit for them. I was wondering if it's ok with you guys.

must say, reading the description I just couldnt imagine how they would look halfway decent; but the photos are very nice. still a tad curious how theyd look on other colors(namely silvers and black) but nice.

Could you do a CF lens cover but with the "3 Dot" design. That way it would be CF but, still have some relective properties. Do you know what I mean?

The actual price will not exceed 65 a pair, and that's including free shipping in the lower 48 states. I could find out the exact price either today or tomorrow.

Currently the prototype was only produced in natural black carbon fiber.

thanks for the words,
the template was molded off the car, then was computer-scanned into CAD for laser-cutting. Finishing product is bendable, because it is not going to be a hard carbon fiber sheet. If look carefully, the lens has alittle curve to it. These overlays will completely cover up the gap.

My original plan was to create a mold and create a hard carbon fiber piece with 3 dots on there. We also created a prototype of that, however, the finishing product did not look nearly as good as this laser-cutted version. Using laser-cut, we couldn't get the 3 dots on there.

These overlays will give you the feel of an "air duct vent" effect that matches the front bumper instead of reflector lens. These lens are also legal for street use, because for this size of passenger cars, front reflectors are not required by law.
