Default Help needed motorised cubby dead :(

Hey guys,

I have a jap zed with the factory nav and motorised cubby door, it was working intermittently but has now stopped altogether,it just seems unresponsive and also isn't shut properly and is slightly floppy?!

Here's a pic of it

When I press the cubby button there's no sound or anything to suggest its responding, has anyone else had this issue and found a fix???

I need to get it open as I can't take the Bose stereo out underneath to fit my new kenwood double din unit

Regardless of what's wrong, you will have to take the center console apart to see what's wrong anyway. So start taking things apart my friend.

Finally got everything out and found the White ribbon cable has snapped

Is there any fix for this or is there a way to wire in power from a different source?

You'll probably have to replace whatever it's connected to, I've never seen that happen.

It goes into the box where the oil/battery/clock readings go

I don't think that that's something you can repair.
