the wing is just sitting on the car at this point, not mounted. Stuff didn't arrive til after dark, and I spent about 4 hours getting the adhesive off from the stock wing.

not sure of the size without measuring, probably larger than 1", smaller than 1.75, but it could be 1.75, and wouldn't hurt to be a little smaller. I did round it off with sandpaper and my drill though, to give it a curved top. The wing is Data Systems Illusion.

I understand that. The only time I have ever used mine is when I hit the switch on accident.

The plug has a rubber seal, but I use silicone also.

Looks good, but you should think about getting it shaved closed. It would look very sharp and clean, but it looks really great now anyway.

2003z and anyone I just read your post that the stock spoiler may be 'stuck on' with adhesive? is this true? i'd wanted to get a z without a spoiler but wasnt willing to wait 3 months to order the exact car. i thought that the spoiler was bolted on so i figured i'd live with it.

if it is indeed 'stuck on' with adhesive, can/ how do i remove it? does it damage the paint? does it require a re-paint?

any advice would help! many thanks!

James

It is bolted, clipped and taped on, and the tape took about 3 hours to strip. I have read that some have damaged the paint, but I didn't, but it does leave 4 holes in the trunk lid.

Randall P on another board clued me into replacing the sprayer. Get a 7/26" metal cap from home depot (in the screw aisle, in a big bin) and paint it black. then silicone it in place.

Spoiler looks like a different color than the car in that pic...does it match 100% in real life?
