Default stock spoiler removal?

I just read on a post that the stock spoiler may be 'stuck on' with adhesive? is this true? i'd wanted to get a z without a spoiler but wasnt willing to wait 3 months to order the exact car. i thought that the spoiler was bolted on so i figured i'd live with it.

if it is indeed 'stuck on' with adhesive, can/ how do i remove it? does it damage the paint? does it require a re-paint?

any advice would help! many thanks!

James

Yeah, it is stuck on with 3M adhesive and from posts that I have seen it is a b*tch to get off. Someone will reply with their removal story.

It's stuck on very well there are 2 bolt holes aprox 5/16" and 2 plug holes aprox 3/4" several after market wings will cover these holes.

i wanted to remove mine too....there are holes underneath...someone suggested switching hatches with someone who wanted a spoiler, but i rather keep the spoiler if it comes to that
