I installed my Redlinegoods shift boot yesterday. Everything went pretty smooth except I had to manually enlarge some of the holes at the bottom of the boot. Now, my question is, I have a NISMO Ti shift **** and the top of the boot where the "ring" is is not really attached to the shifter. I'm not explaining it very well but it kind of floats freely as in when I pull down on the boot I can see the shift arm....does that make sense?
How can I fix this? I followed the instructions to the letter. Is this a result of using the NISMO shifter vs the oem one?
Thanks!

I made my own shift boot. And I just did it with a narrow collar so I don't have that bulky thing on there. I will snap a pic tonight when I get home. Was actually thinking about selling them. Just don't know how quick I can get em together because i'm so damn busy already.
