Just a constructive comment here, but...

I find pics taken in the dark are generally not representative of actual brightness. Some cameras will overcompensate and make the lights look blinding, others won't compensate enough and the lights look dim.

I suggest aiming the LEDs at the floor, about 6" away, in a room lit by a standard 75W bulb. This tends to force cameras into a more reasonable compensation mode. Granted, the pics don't look nearly as cool, but I can more easily judge an LEDs true visual brightness (since absolute mcd ratings are deceptive) by the glow reflected from a light colored carpet that a direct shot of one into the camera lens.



That being said, 10 candela is definitely NOT going to be dim
