Default Anybody know a wheel refinishing place?

Now I am getting worried.

I scratched one of my G35 18 inch wheels (they are going on my Z Roadster). I have called several dealers in the area (Nissan and Infinti) and they do not refinish wheels nor could they direct me to anyone who does.

Does anybody here know a place I could send them?

Do you think a regular body shop would do it (and do it right?)?

Do wheels need special paint since they flex more than body panels?

Thanks in advance for any clues / help.

This is really bumming me out. It took me a long time to find some G35 18 inch wheels and get them. Now I can't put them on until I find a way to get this one fixed.

Andy, sorry to hear what happened. I had a scrape on my touring wheel a while back and I asked this same question and I was referred to:

http://www.wheelcollision.com

I never sent my wheel to them as I ended up buying the iForged's but you may want to check them out and call them.

Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

I just noticed in their website that they have an exchange program which includes G35 wheels. They have the G35 18" listed in silver but for some reason I thought the ones you got were darker. I could be wrong. Good luck.

The rims are darker than most silvers. In fact they sort of look like SilverStone. (one of the reasons I liked them).

But as far as I know they only come in one color from Infiniti and the color would generically be called silver, so I guess I will check out the exchange program.

Thanks.

used them about 6 years ago to correct NYC pothole damage to a wheel on my M3.. they turned out great, i had a bent rim so scratches should be no problem for them. good luck
