Default Painting Scratched Panels

So today I got a few things accomplished, the main thing was pulling my door panels off for the first time. I am replacing my components soon and wanted to see how everything goes together this way hopefully installation goes smooth. While i had my door panel apart i decided to paint the window up/down panel as it notoriously scratches as well as several other panels. I figured id post these few pics for tonight and tomorrow post the finished product. Honestly i dont know how its going to turn out but at the very least i tried to fix it and i was planning on just replacing it anyways so heres a go at it.

This is how it started
<table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">
</td></tr></tbody></table>Dont have any pics after i sanded it with 160 grit but this is after 1st coat of primer

<table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">
</td></tr></tbody></table>
Second coat, you can see the imperfections probably left by some over spray

<table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">
</td></tr></tbody></table>And all imperfections will be re sanded of course and then primed

<table style="width:auto;"><tbody><tr><td></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">
</td></tr></tbody></table>

Before im criticized i have absolutely no direction with this and decided to do it with merely supplies i already had, any constructive criticism is welcome

Also i should add that the panel will either receive black paint to match oem interior, or blue to match exterior, and then a coat of clear. If i dont like it i can always re do it or as i stated will probably just buy a new one.

I also have a handful of pics from dissasebling the drivers door if anyone would like me to post of a short DIY for the 07-08. I know theres a few of them floating around on here. enjoy

Lots of hours here and I am sure it will turn out well. Is there a "crinkle" spray available that will mimic the OEM finish?

I just painted a couple things in my interior. Best paint I've run across is SEM flex coat. It was recommended to me by a local audio customization shop here in town. There are three products I always buy: the soap, the sand free, and the paint (in this case flat black). That was for the plastic panels...for the metal pieces I use a camo paint made by Krylon. It can be found anywhere....

There were several of those white spots and the cubby door was completely faded. I wish I had taken before pics but I just didn't think about it....here are the results....(sorry for the crappy quality, they're cell phone pics)

I plan on fixing the door switch covers (just like the OP did) next weekend, when a bunch of the stuff I ordered comes in. I'll try to post up full installed interior shots when I can get my hands on a better camera.
