Default Requesting pictures: Stillen front splitter

I am up in the air on which lip I will purchase for my car, and it is between the EVO-R Mine's lip (loved it, not hearing great things about customer service though) and the stillen front splitter. I have seen plenty of pictures of Z's with cf lips, but only have found a couple handful with the stillen. I have searched this forum and google so please don't point me in that direction. I was hoping some members may have pictures of their cars with the stillen lip that they just havent published to my350z or that some members with stillen lips could take pictures for me and post them up. I'll post out some of what I have foudn for other members debating the stillen splitter.

I feel as if the "right picture" will convince me to go stillen (just grabbing all these pics again has helped me, and price wise and durability I'd like to do the stillen anyway) so please, feel free to add anymore you have personally, come across or take!

You are talking about two different types of "lips"The Stillen splitter will be less durable for everyday street driving. Also,if you like the turnbuckle competition look. The Mine's as sold by EVO-R fits like a glove, great quality...installs in about 30 minutes.
The problem is availabity. What year is your car?If its a 03-05...the Mines is no longer available. Also, the production runs for the lip itself are limited to 3-4 at a time.
I have a Mine's.Its the best lip I've seen bar none.
If you can get one,go for it.

I agree that they are both very different. Why do you say the stillen would be less durable for every day street driving? I also do like the turn buckle look, as well as that of the mine's. My car is an 08. I have heard of people finding the seller to be hard to contact, sometimes taking months to get them a lip. I've creeped that thread in the classifieds, and am just a bit wary of purchasing the lip. It is a beautiful lip for sure, and is still an option for me!

Evo-R = Terrible service with ridiculous wait times and poor communication.

I have the Evo-R Mines replica and can attest to its quality. It fits great and looks just as good.

Stillen's was an option to me while shopping for a lip and I can say it is quite a value. It will last you longer than the Evo-R since the Stillen is made of urethane and will be flexible enough to take a beating. While the price is good, you should get it painted (no one has painted though in the pics). Bare urethane looks alright when its new, but proper prep and paint are a must. This will bring the cost up into the Evo-R lip's range.

As far as service, yes that's exactly what I've heard unfortunately.

I am trying to find a larger picture, but here's at least a tease for you

found it. I'd say black paint would be better imho

How much does this Stillen lip run? Houston has some very crappy roads, and I'm afraid to get a Mines CF and crack it hitting a pothole since they're all over Washington St. where I live. Need something more durable.

The Stillen splitter takes one hell of a beating, it will take much more abuse then most lips. The rock that finally wiped mine out also tore a hole in my aluminum undertray. It was not a good place to leave the racing surface.

good to know. I'm curious, did it begin to bend down or droop over time or did it stay level? I'm curious if it will sag between and outside of the turnbuckles over time being daily driven.

Its also, carbon fiber vs urethane. The MINES is CF...VERY WELL FINISHED.
I think in the long term the Stillen is gonna droop some.Thats just the material. But,you are going for the looks first, right?Go with the STILLEN.
Its really a moot point...you will not be able to get the MINES--not available-probably this run sold out!

You won't regret it...mines took a beating and still is taking a beating haha but it's definitely good looking with or without the turnbuckles.

I'd definitely purchase one. You won't regret it.

The Stillen is 100 times more durable than the Evo-R... I've had or have:

Evo-R(2)
Chargespeed Bottomline
Top Secret

I can attest to the 3 different mounting styles and the Stillen's mounting style is better. You hit something with the Evo-R... Not only are you going to destroy the lip, your going to break lower opening of the front bumper. For a daily... Most definitely a Stillen. My car isn't a daily so I can rock whatever I please.

I destroyed my Do Luck... The Evo-R and the OEM bumper are on. I ordered an INGS+1 bumper now. The Chargespeed was my nicest lip by far.

Your bumper/car is carbon silver correct? Or is that just an updated hood? In all seriousness, if it is carbon silver and the price is right I would buy it lol. Someone put a good bump in my stock bumper, and I'm not stoked about paying to have it fixed and painted.

It's Silverstone(WV2)... I happen to have a HR hood but I have a 04 Touring 6-speed.
