I work as a tech at nissan and we have a guy that comes in all the time and he has 75% on his windshield and its hard to tell the difference from the outside but you can tell when you are inside and it helps when driving into the sun light. So it does make a functional difference but maybe not a visible difference from outside. Depends on what you want. He has a white car btw. A friend of mine also has a black RX-7 with 50% on the windshield and it was cool for about a week and then just gets annoying to drive around at night. During the day its not bad though.

I had 35% on my windshield for a few months and highly regretted it. At dusk or later on unlit or poorly lit roads I could not see well. And could only see directly in front.

I have 35% across my entire windshield and it makes a big difference. It doesn't effect my driving during the day or night. I also have double limo on my side windows and have not gotten pulled for them yet, and its been a little over a year and a half.

Here are a few pictures.

Glad to hear. In my opinion it's 35% or nothing for the windshield.
