Authentic JGTC Carbon Fiber Hood
Here's the hood, It wasn't for sale individually so I couldn't get it..
I really wanted to get one of these hoods, I'll keep looking for one..
I know there's a seibon carbon fiber hood that looks similar to this, but louver vents are slightly different and the naca ducts are kind of generic looking.
I'd love to get my hands on this hood and make a version without the long scoop funnels so that it would clear the normal engine bay, also a toned down version without the naca ducts would look nice imho.

Thanks, actually I like that rear more than the crazy version.. It almost looks more like a street-able kit. Basically it looks like the wide body rear fenders taper back in and the rear bumper looks to be cut short near the bottom with some type of diffuser.

OP is FAR past those ideas. The pieces to this kit are incredibly expensive, im sure he has countless thousands into this already in parts.
OP the thing I noticed is that since this was a tubular car in the first place, the front suspension itself will be placed farther towards the outside.
Thats always what made kit casr look so lame.. big Deep dish front wheels that make the turning radius look lame.
It was a dead giveaway to me.
It will be similar on this car Id think.
Not sure what would be necessary to widen the rack and move the suspension farther apart. Sounds like alot of work, but surely do-able.
What im curious about is this OP.. are you as a manufacturer going to attempt to mold what you work out and sell it?
I dont want a supperleggera, knock off or orig.
I dont want a Sorcery.
I dont want a Chargespeed wide kit.
So i settled for my VS.
But daymn dude, id pay out the Wazoo to get a decent set of body parts for this if someone had already made them with internal molding points to fit the production vehicle, even if it werent exact. Appears these arent a part thats generally available for sale.. howd you find these?
Seriously. Id be down, probably by the time anything got built. Id assume an easy 12 months..

Something like this I would probably send to our factory overseas so it would be a while before I got it back.
I would expect the mounting points to be exact, but I guess I'll find out when it gets here and when I get a 350z. I know most 350z wide body nismo kits have complete quarter panels with inner fender wells and everything.. I would probably just cut off that inner part so that it can be a quarter panel add-on / skin like traditional wide bodies.
Also, another problem might be the wheel arch height. I think with the custom suspension on the jgtc cars the same super low height might be unobtainable, so there might be some fabrication necessary to bring it back up to a street car /w coilovers level height.
Also the width of this kit might be just too wide, here's some pics of the centerlock 2004-2006 jgtc nissan 350z wheels to get an idea of the width.
The wheels are 18" in diameter the face, but it almost looks like the width is equal length. Maybe these wheels are too wide, because if you look at the pics below of the older Hasemi Sport jgtc kit with the SSR wheels, that Z doesn't appear to be as wide as the Calsonic blue one.

hi.
you're actually dealing with two different JGTC cars
the red Advan body kit you purchased is different than the Calsonic/MOTUL JGTC versions that we have come to see prior to the teams switching to the GTR.
the rear bumper you have posted earlier is for the latter versions.
really old versions:
kinda old:
"newer"

Great pics, I'm glad I didn't buy those rear bumpers, after looking at these pics it looks like those wide rears are for the wider newer version.
Actually from the looks of a Hasemi Sport Z that kit doesn't look like it's too wide, maybe it will be a good width for a street car after all

Id sure like to have wider rears tho. Those fenders look like they are just for aero pretty much.. oh well.
Food for thought tho for sure. I bet itd be cheaper just to make my own one off. Everything is so purpose built itd be pretty straight forward rebuilding a front fenders, and side skirts.. just use the existing rear fenders i already have.
Oh well.. awesome thread tho for sure.

Yeah it's going to have to be way to low to deal with the fender gap you will have with these fenders. It would be sick for sure, but I'm thinking it would probably be easier to use these parts to make some molds that would be better suited for a Z with the stock configuration suspension.
On second thought the RX7 sponsored by Hankook running all the big time attack events has some serious wheel gap and still looks awesome.

^^ agreed!! Basically a full on JGTC car but solid colored, no stickers, and a full interior would be absoulutely badass.
Interested to see what you do to deal with the fender gap you will have with this body on your car.

wow, holy cow!
Makes my BRS Widebody on my old Z look plain
I recall talking to Nissan Motorsports back in the day about possibly importing the pieces for a custom build years ago, but they had mentioned to me that the panels for the most part are NOT a direct fit onto a street chassis Z.
The race Z's use a largely modified chassis to allow for the various body panels and things like extended steering racks, hub and suspension setups since everything is completely different than what's on a normal chassis Z.
I'm pretty sure these can be modified to adapt to a street Z, but damn....
I'm SO in to see where this goes!
