Default bucket seats bride or recaro

I'm looking to purchase fixed back racing buckets. Trying to decide between Recaro pole positions and Bride Vios III. I need bucket seats / racing fixed back seats with a relatively small leg bolsters so that getting in and out of the car remains somewhat easy. How are the Bridge vios III vs Zeta III leg bolsters, does Bride have buckets with smaller bolsters? Does anyone know of a place in NJ or NY that has these on display to try out ???

Your defeating the purpose of bucket seats if you get low bolsters. But if you want pretty much no lower bolsters. The bride Japan special series are the best. They are flat on the bottom with no bolsters. But top and mid are bolstered.

I don't think I was being clear enough. I do want bolsters, I just don't want ultra aggressive ones. If you look at a pic of Recaro pole position the front part of the bolster slopes down, which makes getting in and out of them very easy. I got a ride my my instructors Porsche gt3 racecar on slicks this weekend and I loved his pole position passenger seat. Even though the leg bolster was very mild it held me in place perfectly.

So YES I do want bucket seats with bolsters but the less aggressive the better. I guess the question is which of the Bride bucket seats has THE LEAST aggressive bolster

Both are good choices for race spec seats. The Zeta III is a tight squeeze and i'm a small guy. Your best bet might be the Vios III since the bolsters aren't as high. Pole position is very comfortable as well i've sat in one.

Where in NJ are you? Check out Vraceworks in NYC or Ravspec and Fizz Autosports over in long island. They might have some models on display since they're a JDM parts distributor. I don't know any in jersey that do.

I'm in northern jersey about 15 min from NYC. I'll give Vraceworks a call and see if they have any brides on display.

Called up all 3: Vraceworks doesn't have any of the fixed back brides, neither does Ravspec and Fizz Autosports closed their NY location, now they're only in Chicago. The more I look up my options the more I'm leaning towards the Bride Vios III or Vios III sport, but I realllllly would like to see how they fit before I pull the trigger since I read they are a bit tight. I need to find someone in NJ/NY with these.

Damn that sucks. didn't know Fizz relocated. Wish i could help more but i don't know anyone with Vios III. If you're familiar with Jas from JDS motoring, try contacting him since he races in the NASA circuit. He might know some people with those bucket seats.

I have Recaro SPGs in my S13--snug fit if over 32waist. fairly easy to get in/out of.. I also have Evo2 (or Evo L) race buckets in my Z. also very nice. and slightly wider. imho 34waist perfect. both are FIA cert'd if you need sanctioned seats for anything.. as far as the bride fixed buckets, i dont know.. also important to know is that there are a ton of counterfiet Brides on the market, so know your reseller

What rails are you using for your Recaro seat? I'm partially leaning away from the pole positions due to there not really being any drop in slider solution for the g35/350z. I do believe i stumbled onto some ppl using buddy club rails, but details are fuzzy.

I did notice the tons of fake Bride seats on ebay, etc. Taiwan made if memory serves right. I don't really have an issue with rep wheels, but safety equipment like seats or harnesses....that's a whole other story, defeats the purpose really.

Edit:
I found this! Shows exactly why I like the leg bolsters of the Vios III ! The ZiegIII / MaxisIII are just way too wild for a daily driven / weekend track day car.

Yeah, anything being sold as "Bride Canada" or "Bride Taiwan" is counterfeit. There's a story running around that one of the founders of Bride jumped ship and started a new company, used the same logo/name/etc, and just called it Bride Canada or Bride Taiwan. Don't fall for it.
