Headlight Lenses
I bought an 03 touring with stock hids recently that was garaged. 8 months ago both headlights looked brand new. I started to notice a very slight amount of dust in one of the headlights. As summer came that same headlight got very foggy and when you look closely it seems it has almost stress fractures in it. The other headlight looks perfect.
I attempted to do a quick buff but this issue seems to go just under the surface. Is there a place where I can buy just a new lens for the headlight? I plan to take them apart to paint them anyways but this lens I don't think will ever look right again and I would like to replace just the lens.

problem with that is the kits usually just make the build up more clear, but they will get foggy again within a month or two. Best way to go about it is to wet sand with 2k grit to get the build up off of the lens and then use a plastic restorer and a buffer and then get then re-cleared. there is a wipe on clear you can use, I have not found it yet, but I'd like to so that I dont have to continuously buff my headlights to make them look good.
But the stress fractures, as far as I know are not possible to get rid of. I have some in my driver side's headlight, but not in the passenger. It's kind of frustrating because I haven't done anything to cause this.
I have read that the lenses on the cheap ebay lights are a good way to replace oem lenses, but this requires baking both sets to remove lenses and then re-sealing the new one to your oem lights.. kind of a PITA

Is what I used on my Z. You can get it at Walmart for about $20. It's one-time use though too, enough to do both headlights, and that's it. Basically you wet sand at 1000 grit to get the yellowing and stuff off, then wet sand at 2500 grit, to smooth it all out again, then there's a plastic polish that you use, then clear the lens 2x. They claim it lasts the life of the car, but I've only had it done for a week now lol. I'll try to get pics up when I get time. I also have stress cracks inside my lenses

It would probably be easier to just buy some new OEM headlights. You will be removing the bumper anyways if you were to remove the lens, and then taking out the whole headlight assembly. You might as well buy some new ones for $100-$200 or so.

I picked up a set of super cheap shitty aftermarket headlights and baked the lenses off and replaced the old yellow cracked foggy oem ones. I like it a lot and it was super easy ! took me a half hour total and I flat blacked the trim. One is getting a bit of moisture but I'm certain its because I'm short one fender liner.
