Made this over the last few days. It is made from opaque black acrylic. I can make these for anyone (in ANY color) with an aftermarket stereo and the metra kit. I can also make you anything you want with acrylic. This one is drilled for the extra effect at night, but can be left undrilled as well. I am in the process of making a Z license plate for shows out of the black (or any other color acrylic to match the car) with the rear strut bar "Z" on it probably with LEDs in it.

Just a suggestion...
Consider etching a copy of the Z into the back of the faceplate behind the stick-on Z, but slightly larger. The face of the plate is still completely flat, but if you light it from behind, he Z will have a cool outline.

Good idea !!!
Another crazy idea I had tonight, was to use the smoked I have and put a pinstripe end (the curly part) on the back side of the smoked. The paint it with acrylic paint (black). After it is dry, pull the pinstripe off. When lit from behind, there will be a pretty cool design on the glass. But when not lit, you won't know it is there. I am making a bunch of acylic stuff for the car this weekend also. I also have a sheet of light smoked and a cracked headlight ... hmmm ... I am going to try to make a new headlight cover (the clear part) out of smoked acrylic ... smoked headlights !!! That project will take some time, but I am hoping it will turn out for those "show guys" out there or for those that dare to bend the rules. So much acrylic, so little time

350trackz you want those plates in carbon fiber? license plates too. then you can add the Z or whatever custom designs you want. they look real nice already though.

That is really nice! I was already raving in the first pic, but then the LEDs in the second one really blew me away. They're very subtle, and nice touch.
(sorry, i don't have much of a attention span, so when there are pics i just go straight to those and then read later. lol)

Perf. Nissan has the "Fairlady Z" emblems on sale for like $12. Their site is www.mynismo.com and then look under exterior.
OR, are you guys looking for the acrylic and all ?
