Default Nismo Ti Shifter + Finisher noisy

I bought a Nismo Ti shift **** a few months ago and recently purchased and installed a metal finisher. It looks great but the problem is when I get above 4,000 RPM or so the finisher starts to rub against the shifter and rattle profusely.

I know a lot of people have the same setup that I have, how did you guys fix this problem?

Thanks

I have the nismo gt titanium **** and custom finisher (part of a door magnetic door stop kit from home depot, long story) and I used a thin rubber gasket (~1mm thick, also from home depot in the misc. hardware drawers) that had the right inner and outer diameter.

Well I went to Lowe's and they didn't have a rubber gasket that even came close to the size I needed. =/

Mine basically looks like a quarter with a 1/4" or so diameter hole through the middle. You can also try putting some sort of rubber/foam spacer(s) underneath the shift boot collar. this will push the boot collar up towards the finisher, and the finsher up against the ****. Sandwiching the finisher tighter should reduce the chatter.

Or just get a rubber finisher.

I ended up getting a neoprene spacer that I trimmed and it works just fine.

$0.89 at Home Depot.
