Replica vs. Real Nismo V2 Bumper
Holy crap... i did not know the real V2 was made out of fiberglass. And a small part of me was feeling bad for buying a Shine Rep, which i only bought for, quality, flexablity, and price. The real would have not had any of which.
Odd - I have an authentic and my 03 fender liners fit fine with no rubbing issues at all - and I'm lowered 1" in the front . . .. Maybe my body shop I go to just rocks like that I guess.
Mine kept coming out. kept coming into contact with my tires while driving, so they burned away... lol
Wish i could post pics of the difference, but the 03 line i have is cut for the oil cooler.
Sorry to revive this older thread. But like others I'm interested in trying out one of these PU V2 bumpers on my '06 350. One thing no one has ever mentioned is the Foam impact absorber behind the stock front bumper. Do these replica bumpers still use it? Or does it have to be completely removed for proper fitment?
Also, from what I've gathered by reading posts. It looks like the '06+ fender liners will work with the V2 replicas with some minor drilling/adjusting. Can this be confirmed?
And, where is everyone getting the replacement Nissan Emblems for these bumpers? Or are they included in the purchase?
That last thing I want on my Z is a bumper that causes other components to get chewed up or sacrifices structural integrity/safety. With that being said I really like the V2 bumper and my original is starting to show it's age from rock chips and daily driving. Eventually I plan on going with the Vortech V3 supercharger and the V2 bumper looks like it would compliment the front mounted intercooler from this kit nicely.
Thanks in advance for the comments/replies.

I'm really liking the Shine since everyone's speaking so highly of it. Should I buy from Shine Auto or do other websites carry it?
