Default Replica vs. Real Nismo V2 Bumper

Just one question..

other than the fact that the Nismo V2 bumper is obviously OEM and is guaranteed to fit are there any visual differences between a replica vs. the oem??
What I'm basically asking iis what am I paying $700+ for since they're both made of the same material.

my boyfriend drives a damn saab. -__- no help there.

I have the replica V2 kit, and I don't see any noticeable differences between that and an authentic one... I do have a couple issues with fitment, but they're minor. there's a gap between the fender and the bumper, around the headlights, because the screw holes are too small, and need to be bored out a bit, but other than that, it fits well and looks good.

Btw, my kit is made by Shine...

The real V2 comes with fender liners and everything needed for a seamless install. Depending on your year Z the older 03-04 fender liners do not line up and will disintegrate like mine did while on the highway!

I don't know why you'd think the Oem comes with fender liners.

It does not. You need the two piece 2006+ which are avail separately.

I figured they wouldn't come with liners. my 06 fender liners are toast though. I am sure it's because I didn't fix the poor fit so they kept coming out, and rubbing against my tires when I'm driving.

You're supporting the people who actually worked hard to design the bumper, rather than a company who just bought the legit one and copied it. That's one difference.

I have the replica, and it's a great fit. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not paying over $1k for a body part that is exposed to all the elements and gets trashed from daily driving.

I sank no less than $2k on top of purchase price for my authentic
V2. It constantly broke on the smallest of bumps. I don't know how
Anyone EVER raced that front end. It's a shame that Nismo/Nissan
Never produced a true and perfect poly v2 sim to the v3.

From what i understand, a lot of the replicas also fit better than OEM Nissan. I like my $200 bumper anyday over the $1k version, also either will get destroyed anyhow. I figure i will probably go thru a bumper or two a year anyhow.

Yea, Shine bumper exceeds Nismo in quality. I had the Shine piece and loved it aside from the everyone seems to have it.

But what's the deal with the fender liners not working out? Do they kinda just pop out constantly?

And thanks for the replies guys! I'm really liking the Shine since everyone's speaking so highly of it. Should I buy from Shine Auto or do other websites carry it?
