Carbon Fiber Interior Trim Pcs
Hello - I am potentially locking up a deal on 2004.5 350Z. Some of the interior trim pcs has some wear and need replaced. I am considering carbon fiber replacements (gauge, radio, shift, and door trim areas).
I've looked hear and found none for sale. eBay seems a little high. Found some on 350Z source for $380 seem like a good price to you? Anywhere I can find cheaper? Has anyone tried the carbon fiber wrap stuff?

I'll save you money and ricer-ness.
Buy some Di-Noc or other 3M carbon fiber vinyl "fabric" for $50.
Wrap pieces.
Be much, much happier than you would be with crappy, bubbled out carbon stickers.

Yeah, the carbon fiber pieces on ebay are pricey and the worst part is sometimes they're different shades of CF or just straight up dont fit...
So it can look weird.
I have a few things wrapped in my interior. Its a good accent for my interior. I also have my roadster trunk lid wrapped (hiding a huge nasty mark in the clear coat from when i bought the car). That turned out great. A pain in the *** to keep clean though.

like others have said tho, it's far less expensive to buy some cf wrap and wrap the pieces yourself. plus, you're not restricted to just the pieces available @ evo-r. i think the wrap looks cleaner too..more subtle
have fun

Thanks for all the quick responses. If I were to choose the CF wrap direction - I am concerned about the fit and finish? Meaning air bubbles, creases around corners, etc.? Big_dish & Arvin89 have you used the CF wrap with good success?

It took over a year for one member and 7 months for the other member to receive their dash kits.
I would no longer recommend anyone conduct business with EVO-R at all and they are no longer a vendor on this forum.

Thank god. That was the worst online business ive ever encountered.
As is usually the case, its all about personal taste. In CF,you have--the real thing/molded pieces, overlay kits/CF veneer with a urethane covering and wrap, which is basically a "photo" of the fabric much like Formica. All have pros&cons.I have a combo in my interior.A dash kit(CARID great quality)and molded parts.I personally don't like the wrap but,it is very popular. How durable? My dash kit been in my Z for over 3 yrs.Looks new.
No "bubbles"???Another factor is your install expertise.Dash kits, molded parts just about anyone can tackle this.Wrap??unless you are a detail guy,you may have a mess or,let a pro do it.Especially with large areas.
For the 380 bucks you have, you can buy a good dash kit.I would recommend CARID if you go that route.2 week delivery. The kit has like 35 pieces...very well layed out and alot of fun to do yourself.A helper makes it go quicker.
Yoo can check my veh.pics for what it looks like. For some reason, interiors like alot
of stuff, don't photograph well...look better in person!

Best company hands down is APSIS but you'll pay top dollar. RSW makes an overlay kit for 03-05 models that is top notch.
Tonester(Tony) did some wrapping for me and did a great job.

Personally, I'm doing the overlay myself with carbon fiber/kevlar and epoxy. It all really just depends on how motivated you are and how much time/experience you have to do it or have it the way you want it.
