Default 3M ScotchPrint Black Carbon Fiber Vinyl on Interior!

Had a local guy here wrap the center console with Black Carbon Fiber Vinyl from 3M. Basically, I just took the interior console out myself and then handed him the pieces to wrap. Check back for more updates since I plan on getting the other trim pieces wrapped later.

BTW I know I have to get a new headunit, that thing is all jacked up.

in the process of doing this myself.. finished up the arm rests last week.. That vinyl stuff is pretty cool... and such a cheap way to cover up the horrid scratches I have all over the waterfall piece.

Looks good

It looks pretty good.

I can understand chips on the little latch that you push up to get into the cubby hole, but how is there marks on the cubby hole itself? I only had scratches on the latch part and that was from the previous owner.

I have no idea, I guess I'm just careless.

Was thinking of doing this over the winter. Where did you get the material at? Any part number?

I got my material here:
http://www.metrorestyling.com/?Click=2881

You can also order small samples if you can't decide on which brand/color to go with.

Took my guy 2 1/2 hours, Yes the latch works fine, you do not need a heat gun, a blow dryer works just as well to stretch the vinyl over curves.

Perfect timing, OP. Thank you. My 3M is arriving today (also from metrorestyling).

I had tried to wrap the waterfall and shift surround in a micro suede, but the material wasn't able to form around the curves of the shift surround. Attempted to do a two piece method but no matter what, it wouldn't turn out as clean as I'd like. I'm happy to see that Scotchprint works on that piece.

P.S. You're installer did an awesome job and paid great attention to the details.

Thanks, I also started doing the trim pieces on the doors myself. The key is to use the hair dryer to heat the vinyl and get it around those corners/curves. Will post pics soon of my own work.
