I too have the replica nismo kit and have it painted 2 times already especially on the front bumper which gets chipped very easily from rocks and pebbles. Is yours getting the same problem, I asked my bodyshop iis it because they diddnt use stage 2 paint but they responded that because the quality of the kit is fiberglass thats why I am getting white snowflakes all over my bumper, they said their clearcoat is yellow and even that came off.
I just wanted to make sure that Im not getting a cheap paintjob thats easily gets chipped away before I go in for another paintjob.
And if I did bring my car in for a front bumper paint job touchup in your dealership how much would it costs? Thanks.

 

I had my bumper cover clear bra'ed. Took care of all the problems. Thing is any repaint will do that. The fiberglass won't absorb the rock impacts like the original bumper cover will. The worst part is having it repainted and not driving the car for a month before the bra can be put on. I jumped the gun and did it after 3 weeks of waiting..... no problems... yet. As far as the repaint goe's, it's around $150.00 to $200.00.

 

Jeff can you recommened what company of clear bra to put on, I havent seen any of them put out a one for the nismo bumper so does that mean your lower lip is exposed. How much do you think install for one of these will run, thanks.

 

Mine was custom done by Star Shield Armor in Irwindale. They charged me a bunch extra ($450.00 total) but I have full bumper coverage. Come by the dealer and check it out if you want.....

 

If I decide to get this spoiler from Performance, will it make it difficult to have the real spoiler installed in its place after thee original one is removed? I'm thinking that I'll have this installed in addition to all the other things that I have planned.

 

That was unclear....I meant to say: if I have an imitation installed, wil it be even more difficult to install a real NISMO spoiler when they do reach our shores?
