Interior Light Kits
No not neon. Does anyone have any experience with the Foot Well Lamp kit or Interior Illumination kit that are available on Courtesy Nissan's web site? I am wondering which of the two to get (one, both, or neither), how hard they are to install, and whether they are worth the $. Thanks
I'm working on a solution for this. See here for details...
Prototype stage: MacGyver's Footwell Lights
If I remember the price on Nissan's version ($190 for the set), mine will not only have more functionality, but be significantly cheaper to boot.
Check out my company's webpage for more info, as well...

Jeff,
Yes, and a kit will be available once the rest of my products make it to the production line. Long story short, I have a few modificatons to my current prototype that need to be made, but I'm mostly waiting on my paperwork for funding to come through. Lending agencies tend to drag their feet (actually, they're just being more careful, so I'm cool about that) as the number of zeros increase in the loan amount
The S2000 windscreens were from an earlier version of control box, but the new version rocks! More versatile and able to drive a practically unlimited number of LED strings, brighter LEDs, demo modes, etc.
I'll post once I have a production version ready for sale...right now the website is just filled with tech info.
Mike,
I'm actually surprised Varad hasn't grabbed a larger market share. I tend to like their LED products more than more entrenched names like StreetGlow (maybe it's because they ARE entrenched that Varad can't do better).
Be that as it may, their products are still somewhat limited. 600 colors for that light stick may sound like a lot, but it's actually quite limited when trying to fade from one color to another. That's an average of only 8 levels per color, which means you'll be able to see brightness changes...not good. They only offer a small range of tube lengths...in this case, 6" or 12". All in all, though, the price is reasonable for what you get. YMMV...

There's a thread in the Roadster forum on lighted windscreens, watch in there for updates. I finished putting together 9 boards last night, and the cases are partially done. I'll start on the wiring today and hopefully finish it tomorrow. I have operating instructions for the Footwell Lights, but they need to be modified slightly for the Windscreen Lights. I also need to clean up the install instructions for the Windscreen Lights.
Almost there...
