I cant remember if the oem shift boot has a ring on it or not, does it? At the top? So it isn't just open fabric. I have an aftermarket leather one. Anyway if it does, try a ziptie on the shaft to keep it up at the bottom of the **** like you want. Shaft...****...lmao...

They also make finisher peices for the shifter that make it look nicer, Zee toys is the place that makes them.

You should also check Vo's write-up on doing it the home depot style:

No problem i had the same issue with the same type of **** just not an ARC one. Mines a polished Ti from R&D factory, its a bit bigger and heavier i believe.

I currently have the polished one from Zee Toys and i love it.

I held my shift boot up with zip ties, it worked pretty well. I also hated the ARC **** and sold it after a few months. Tommy Kaira **** was a great investment.
