1.) Will I need new trunk shocks even if I take out the counter weight?

2.) Does it take long to get used to the restricted view?

1. yes. i took out the counter weight, and still have to hit the button twice to open the hatch. once to raise it up about an inch to the stop. then another time to fully release it and raise it up. not much of a pain though.

2. no time. it really doesn't affect it that much. the visibilty in this car isn't very good anyway. i haven't noticed any more problems seeing behind me than before.

i think they are a very good addition to our car. really changes it for the best. i couldn't imagine my car without it now. hope this helps.
