Yea I thought about doing that as well which was an option. Anyone else care to chime in?

Does your car have stock HIDs or did you get a conversion?

If you got a conversion, use the eBay lights until you get your stock ones blacked out, etc.

If not, it won't work anyway.

In this case, you can do the first thing I suggested.

I would only use eBay parts as temp replacements if necessary. I would never use anything from eBay as a permanent part.

Maybe I can post a wanted ad for some OEM headlights, paint them, then switch and resell my OEM's for around the same price... hmm.

you can do what i did. I bought those cheaper lights as you did off of ebay because my lenses where all screwed up and i wanted to take out the orange strip. So, what i did was change the lenses from the ebay lights to my hid oem lights. At this time you can paint the interior or you can take the orange strip out as i did. Here is a pic below! Sorry, i dont have any real close pics but they came out perfect. If you have any other question feel free to pm me.

AS YOU CAN SEE NO ORANGE STRIP AND I STILL HAVE MY HID OEM LIGHTS!!

i HAVE THOSE LIGHT YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUT THEY ARE MISSING THE LENSES BECAUSE AS YOU CAN SEE I SWAPPED THE LENSES ON TO MY OEM ONES. THE EBAY LIGHTS FIT LIKE OEM QUALITY. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE LIGHTS LET ME KNOW I WILL SEND THEM TO YOU FOR A CHEAP PRICE.

I was thinking about that too but I can't justify paying 200 for part of the headlights if you know what I mean.

Right, but I can't have ANY downtime. I want to get headlights, mod them myself over a few days, then take a few hours to just switch them out.

I guess the first question is do you have hid headlight or do you have just the normal headlights.

I really want to black out my headlight housing but am a studentand work full time. I can't find the time to make this project work so I was thinking about buying these headlights and blacking them out so there is no downtime.
If you are going to buy off ebay you should always do a COMPLETED auction search.

1)This way you know what you can expect to pay.

2) see WHO bought it and then check the sellers feedback or better yet email the buy and ASK him if he was HAPPY with it.

here's an example of a COMPLETED auctiion search

p.s. you have to be signed into ebay to do a COMPLETED auction search.

Default OEM style Ebay headlights?

So my passenger headlight is leaking and building up condensation. I don't feel like spending an arm and leg for one from Nissan. So I found some OEM knock offs from eBay. Looks legit, anyone have experience with these? Input greatly appreciated.

I think we have enough threads on ebay headlights that we don't need another.

OP search for "Ebay headlights" and you will find tons of threads

Default Ebay OEM headlight replacement

Just curious to see if anyone has tried these

http://www.ebay.com/itm/03-05-Nissan...ht_1610wt_1270

It's just the housing but even then $200 and free shipping seems a little light..

There are several threads addressing am-autoparts. Did you read them?
